Computer networks for an office and a workplace

A network is noticed when it stops: the shared disk disappears, Wi-Fi drops at the far end of the office, or someone at home has no safe way into their work.

Inquiry about a network

KIS86 plans, builds and maintains cable and Wi-Fi networks and sets up the network equipment. The work starts from the number of workplaces, where the devices stand, and whether guests must be separated from the work network.

Planning

Before a cable is pulled or an access point is bought, it is settled what must reach the network: computers, a printer, a phone, cameras if they are already there, a server or a disk. Planning includes where the cabling runs, where the communications cabinet stands, and how access is split. That way the only link is not a home router under a desk.

Cable and wireless

Cable is more stable for fixed desks, a till, a server and a printer. Wi-Fi covers laptops and phones, but it needs the access points in the right place, not one booster “somewhere in the corridor”. The right mix is often cable where the device does not move, and wireless for the rest.

Guests, if they need internet at all, stay on a separate network. Work disks and admin panels are not left open to it.

Equipment setup

Routers, switches and access points are set with names, passwords and access that can be found later. Leaving a factory password, or an unknown address “because it worked”, makes the next fault longer. After setup a short note remains of what is where, so it does not all depend on one person's memory.

VPN

A VPN is a way for someone outside the office to reach a work system, when that is agreed and the device allows it. It is not a magic key to every program and it does not replace ordered access rights. If remote work is regular, that is said at the start, so a suitable option is chosen, not a temporary tunnel with nobody to maintain it.

Diagnostics

When the network “sometimes works”, the break is checked: cable, port, the device's power, a crowded channel or a setting. Diagnostics can be on site or remote, if there is outside access to the equipment and that is agreed. There is no subscription for round-the-clock watching unless it is expressly agreed.

Where work is done on site

An on-site visit is arranged in advance. We work in Razgrad and the region. We do not undertake physical service in every city. For clients in other parts of Bulgaria, part of the review and the settings can be remote if the task allows it.

What is useful to say in advance

  • How many workplaces there are, and which are on cable.
  • Whether there is a server, a shared disk or a program reached from outside.
  • Whether guests use the same wireless network.
  • Exactly what does not work, if it is a fault, and since when.

ЕТ „Кирил Спиридонов“ was registered in 2008. A network task is judged separately, by the site and the scope.
